With SP2 all XP computers need to have a port opened in the ICF (firewall).

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions -> Add Port

Name:Minisoft
Port:2560
Type:TCP
Change Scope:  Custom list: 168.156.236.29

Enable the 2560/TCP port

Only permit communication through this port with the HP3000

Be sure the check-box is selected

Minisoft Configuration:

Open WS92_32, and pull down the Config menu. Select Comms and Network...

The network type is NS/VT. (Network Serivces/Virtual Terminal.)

Use the host name. Not the IP address

14 character serial number: W01-700i123456 (For DataExpress compatibility)

Be sure to save the new settings or Minisoft will revert to the old settings when it re-starts.
